Get Paid For Reading E-mails - Real or Scam

There are many websites on the internet that promise to pay you for receiving e-mails. When I started out in the online money making business a while back and in my quest to earn a quick buck I have signed up for a quite a few.Some of thempromise to pay you large sums of money for reading e-mails, sounds simple enough doesn't it.

I have signed up at paidforemails.co.za among others and all I ever got was a few ads to click on for 50cents each and one sign-up offer and that was it. All in all I made about R1 and I have yet to receive an e-mail or review a product/site.

At this rate it will take me a whole year to reach the R100 payout.

Free blogging platforms best suited for monetizing

Many new bloggers often wonder if they should start their blog on a free host like this one or if they should just go all out and get a host and a paid domain name. In my opinion if you are just starting out it's best to first get a feel of whether you like the idea of spending long hours on the computer and getting paid a few bucks a day in return or you'd much rather stick to the 9-5 cycle like most folks. I started blogging in 2007 and there's no accounting for the money I've lost with hosting services and domain names that I have since dropped because the idea that seemed so great at first turned out to not be so great after all.

Rather start small, start on a free platform and if you go the monetizing route see if it brings any cents in. when you start doing well you can get your own domain name and either continue using free hosting or pay for hosting.

1. Blogger

Is wonderful for beginners. It's owned by Google but you can also use all your other affiliate ads on the blog.

2. Weebly

I found it hard to use all the widgets and I just gave up in the end. But for those of you who are not as technically challenges as I am, you can give it a fair go.

3. YolaSite

Yola looks more like a mini website than a blog but it has a lot of great features and built in widgets.

Some have called it South Africa's largest affiliate network. It works much like any affiliate network out there, but the Easyads option is also a nice way for those who don't want to go through the trouble of selecting adverts to put up on their site.

Info Link basically puts ads in your posts. They usually have double underlinings on specific keywords and you mouse over the words a pop-up ad comes. A few bloggers have claimed to have made a few bucks off this service while others feel it is an imposition.
In my opinion if you are still starting out and do not have the patience to build up your traffic so that you can generate enough revenue from Adsence and other PPC's you should definitely go for it.

They normally take a day to approve.

No one will Share their Secrets!!!!

The Affiliate Marketing Industry can be a pain if you read too many people's articles and opinions.

Everybody who does affiliate marketing has their own ways and secrets to the trade. (Which they will all try to sell to you for a fee). The truth is, if there is a secret to becoming a top earning affiliate, it will remain, by definition, a secret.

Here's the thing, If I have a secret to making money and I share it with everyone, everyone will want in on it. In simple terms we'll all be utilizing the same method and sharing all that revenue that could all belong to me. So don't think that you'll get everybody's secret to making money online.

Trial and error is always the best way to learn. Don’t confuse yourself by reading too many e-books about the same subject. Get one that works for you and work on building your own systems. There are a lot of free e-books out there from the likes of John Chow and Yaro Starak. They area all claiming to be making tens of thousands of dollars.

Maybe you and I will too in a few years time.

Increase traffic by linking back to your blog

If you have more than one site, always find a way to create links to all your other related sites or blogs. This way if you happen to have only one or two blogs or sites that are doing well, traffic wise, you can divert some of that traffic to your other sites. This is just a simple way to create traffic if you don't want to pay for marketing and traffic.

I can never say this enough, create a Squidoo lens and link back to your site. If your lens is really good you will get high rankings on Google. because Squidoo ranks very well with Google and other search engines. On a plus side, your squidoo lenses can make you money while you are at it.

Link to other blogs as well in your site so that they can link back to you. Trackbacks are a great way of exposing yourself and your site to the market.

Make comments on other people's blogs and sites. And if you can, leave a URL to your own site. People will want to check it out if your comments are really good. so don't comment for the sake of commenting.

You can also link to your other posts on your site or blog. This way more than one article gets exposure.

Traffic: It's not as scary as we all think

Traffic is important. You can't make any progress as an internet marketer without traffic. Some suggest you have to even buy those clicks.

The key to success in the online marketing industry if having people visit your site and coming back to visit your site again. This is quality traffic. This is again why I'm a bit skeptical about Paying for traffic because the traffic you generate is just people hoping to earn a few cents. They only visit for a few seconds and once their account has been credited they move right along. You only pay for the clicks that you have received so it is not very

Write good articles or buy them if you can't write them. You can also publish some of your good content on other publisher sites and create links to your site from there. Hubpages and Squidoo are my favorite in this regard as they get a lot of traffic from search engines.

When you are just starting out, joining forums that are focused on your niche are a good idea to establish a presence for yourself.

Social Networking is a beautiful way of getting word out about your site and to keep people updated about new articles and updates. You can also place your own adverts on these sites for huge amounts of traffic.

You can also network with other Internet marketers and get tips and ideas from them. A new site called Viral Networks does just that. I haven't been there for long but it is a great place to meet other people in the business.

Introduction to Internet Marketing

Before we start, let's just clear this one out. You will not become a millionaire in weeks!!! You have to work hard and invest a lot first. This is just my personal account of what I'm learning as I go along. Advice is accepted and suggestion will be kindly appreciated.

But through all the mistakes I've made along the way and all the phony sites I've joined and the "guru's" advice I've followed. I've come to make my own conclusions and take it from there.

If you want to make money online, one of the best ways to do it is through Internet marketing. Starting up is a bit hard if you don’t have a cent to your name. Because, most Internet marketing gurus will all say the same thing. "Get a domain name" and "host on a trusted site". Pay for advertising and marketing. You have to spend a bit, which is excellent if you have cash. I say you can start with a blog and work from there. Once you have started earning a few bucks you can buy a domain name and get hosted. You can then move your blog to your new site.

I've read that you need a couple of hundred dollars to get started out. Sounds reasonable enough, but if you are in a country with a smaller currency, then you are definitely looking at few thousand bucks.

Internet marketing is very profitable if you are willing to do the actual marketing. If you don’t have anything on your own to sell you can start off by being an affiliate.

Most of the banners on this site are for sites you can join to become an affiliate. For example Shareasale.com has more than 3000 merchants all looking for affiliates to help sell their products and service. You can decide on a niche you are passionate about and affiliate for the merchants that cater for that particular niche.

The most important element of success in the Internet marketing business is TRAFFIC. You have to know where to get traffic. You can start blogging, write articles, join social networks, Pay for Clicks, e-mail marketing. The list is endless but you have to do it.

My advice? Work around your passions, because you won't be all over the place.

Becoming an Internet marketer is about going out there and getting the customers.

Writting to the Bank

So I discovered Squidoo (check out my lensography). Life could not be better. There's so much to do and learn there. Its like a community on its own. Its wonderful. The ad revenue share is impressive nad you can make as much money as you want. Obviously i'm exxagerating but compare that with TPC nad you'll understand what i'm on about. $200 a month if you work a bit hard is not all that bad if you are in South Africa like me. It would be around R1600. This is only from one stream.

Associated Content pays very little if you are not American. They pay only $1.50 for 1000 page views. so I opted out of it. If you are in the US you can join because then you get paid a cut of hte ad revenue that your page generates. I really dont have enough information on this one as i was discouraged by the fact that If i do start writing for them, I'll only be getting paid [er view. I'll have to do a whole lot of marketing for a few cents. Not very encouraging if you ask me!

Hubpages is also not that bad. I haven't really started writing there as yet but I'm hoping to start as soon as my addiction for Squidoo dies down a bit. Hubpages is not very different from Squidoo but Squidoo looks much better and has a larger community. You can get as creative as you would in Squidoo and have just as much fun.

Helium, (check out my page there) is for the serious writers. you have to really do your research before you publish an article. there's not a lot of room for creativity there. but they pay really well. You get $5 for your first article. If you earn a writing star you can start earning upfront payments for your articles. Other than that you just get a share of ad revenue. which is not much, but depends on the number of articles you've published.

So i seem to be making money at the most advanced snail pace of all time. As much as PTC pay and the ones i joined may be reputable, I'm a bit uneasy about making about 4 cents a day (granted its on a single website). But even so, if I join about 10 sites I'll be making 40 cents a day, give or take, that leaves me with about $12 a month.

Most of these sites only start paying once you reach a minimum threshold. so unless you are a good affiliate and are bringing people to the site, you wont be making any pocket change for a while.

But I'm still a little bit optimistic so I'll keep checking these out.

Blogging,

Posting in Forums, and

Writing articles for websites like e-how, Squidoo, and hubpages.

Best PTC's

These are some of the PTC sites I have joined. This list will be expanded as I go along and will be modified with time as I get paid (or not) and as I find the scams and the payers. I have been neglecting these sites of late because I'm just not all that into working for such little money. But they are great for that little extra cash. Some people actually claim to make a living off these.

This one comes highly recommended. has a long history of payment and a low $2 payment via Alertpay. pays about 1 cent per advert clicked.

Introduction to PTC

So I have started with this PTC madness because of the recession. hopefully it pays out. I've done a lot of reading on the internet and I'm hoping to get in a few cents (literally).

PTC's are said to be a great way of earning extra cents on line and if one works hard enough can make a few hundred dollars a month. that alone is enough to cover a few financial bases.

The money is too little at first glance but if you get referrals then you can get a cut from their earnings. What basically happens is that these sites host a few adverts and users click on these adverts for a small fee. Usually a fraction of a cent but sometimes a cent. not much but with enough clicks and with enough referrals, if one makes about $5 per site a month and one has joined say about 15 sites, that's an extra $75 per month. obviously I'm understating, but i hope you get the picture. because one can easily make about $200. so if you are lime me and are based in South Africa, that becomes over R1500.00

I've joined a lot of these sites in my excitement, most of which turned out to be scams. promising anything from $1 - $200 from a single advert viewed.

But I've also joined a few reputable ones and I'm hoping you'll join me as i check them out and see if they pay out.
